Waka Waka and the Champions
Spain NT players vowed to do the following if ever they would win the World Cup, which they did win, wonder if they did go by their word?! Or for some of the more obscure ones, maybe not!

LA Furia Roja's Waka Waka
As part of the country's celebrations as champions, some fans edited a La Furia Roja version of Waka-Waka...this video is pretty good!1. Iker – he preferred out of superstition not to make a promise.
2. Albiol – learn English.
3. Piqué – go all out celebrating.
4. Marchena – promised to carry out what he promised in the Eurocopa – walk the Camino de Santiago. He also promised to go on a cruise with his family.
5. Puyol – left the envelope empty because he doesn’t like to make promises.
6. Iniesta - walk the Camino de Santiago, but didn’t say when.
7. Villa – he wrote “let the celebration be bigger than the Eurocopa one.”
8. Xavi – shave all our heads, including those of the journalists.
9. Torres – walk the Camino de Santiago, but didn’t say when.
10. Cesc - he wrote, “I will invite all my friends because I’ve never lived anything like it and I feel like one of them.”
11. Capdevila – get a tattoo of the World Cup.
12. Valdés – go all out celebrating with the team.
13. Mata – do the ruta del Cares in Asturias and travel to California.
14. Xabi – go around the world.
15. Sergio – get a tattoo of the World Cup [he’s might actually go through with it.]
16. Busquets – go on vacation to Punta Cana with his friends.
17. Arbeloa – go one year without drinking Coca Cola.
18. Pedro - celebrate with his loved ones, travel to Tenerife and somewhere else with his family and friends.
19. Llorente – go skydiving.
20. Javi – dye his hair neon pink and go skydiving (naked and without a parachute).
21. Silva - walk the Virgen del Carmen route to thank her.
22. Navas - return to Johannesburg with his family and his girlfriend.
23. Pepe - grow a goatee until Aug. 31 and compose an updated version of “camarero.”

The controversial Capello Index
Fabio Capello has devised a rating system that ranks the top players according to their performances in the World Cup, League and Club games. I just googled the website and it is still present despite claims that it has been taken off. Once you access the website, a disclaimer appears:
"The Capello Index cannot, and must not, be summarised as "The vote given by Capello" to the players, but is the result of a system which is capable of analysing and evaluating the actual performance adding various scientific variables"What happened to FA's claim that it will be taken down?! And who cares if Capello publishes that sort of Index. Every coach must have a sort of index about how he ranks football players but this system was deemed questionable because England itself has one of the least number of players on the Top 100?! It is kind of an embarrassment for England NT but remember that they really played a poor game in the world cup. I've seen the way it works and though it's not as good as Castrol Index, it seems okay. The Top 5 were notable players who really showed their worth and everyone who watched them play know that they were the best in the field. But of course, this rating system may be influenced by Capello himself and not that reliable. But poor England NT players, not even their manager shows them much love. Thank goodness Raymond Domenech did not make his own Rating system for France! hahah

Keeping out the ball
Casillas and Neuer. Those two really showed their worth at the World Cup. One went on to become the world champions and the other was missed in the third place match. How hard can a goalie's life be? When you're protecting that net to keep away any attempts from the opposition for scoring, you have your team's life at risk. I love seeing goalies like Casillas and Neuer at play. They have this tendency to fly in any direction to stop the ball. Flying in football? Just one of the many amazing stunts this beautiful game has to offer.

Waka Waka
The plan was to go to Ayala to scout for dresses for the party. I was drunk with the world cup at that time, the acquaintance was the last thing on my mind. All I could think about was that there could be a giant jabulani waiting for me at the mall. I dragged my friends over for a bout of photo opportunities and there you go...the closes thing I could get to the world cup! My heroes in cardboard...or playing in the flat screen. i remembered so well that they were replaying the Uruguay match. I thank the bats for their support of my mania. I even got a picture with Cristiano, like we were playing together! LMAO. And btw, the jabulani only reached to my waist. LOL. but that did not stop me from dreaming of taking it home, or getting that germany jersey from the mannequin. :)
