There's a match tonight for Girondins de Bordeaux, my favorite French League club, but I can't watch it since I don't have a link to any site! waah! Yoann Gourcuff is back in midfield duty! I feel so helpless! I miss football too much and I so want to watch their match!

• The Leading Manchester United Forum. This site not only deals with Man.United itself but of anything football related in it's forums. I love reading and joining in the conversations with other fans who are as passionate as football as I am! I stumbled on this site when I was looking for more news about Yoann Gourcuff and the France NT, the discussions dealt with not only the obvious issues but also about other underlying ones that some sportscasters deemed too delicate to discuss! Plus I get links from scanned articles of local newspapers and links to other football blogs. And the fans are really accommodating here too!

Fifa

• During the World Cup, I was a constant visitor at this site that I reached the level of team captain in the Activity Meter . I also loved their match casts and enjoyed chatting with other fans in the Fifa club. I made quite a lot of international friends here! Plus there was the Panini Virtual Sticker Album which I went crazy about and Redcafe.net forums helped me complete it!
• The bad thing about this site is it's rather biased on Federation issues like Sepp Blatter and the goal line technology. 
• But they get great photos just seconds during a match! And VIP interviews with players, coaches and notable people in football too!

Dirty Tackle Sports Blog

• I deem this site as the blog of all football blogs! Not one but at most 4 writers are involved in making this site possible. Brooks Peck, who I follow in twitter, and we once exchanged tweets during the WC =0000, writes with a wicked sense of humor and witty cynicisms about the world of football. I also loved that they got cool photos, videos and links to other sites. 
• The best thing about this site: news+wit+humor approach in news writing.
• Bad: to diehard footy fans who are pretty sensitive regarding casual insults about any and all things football---do not enter! haha!

Kickette

• As a certified Kickette myself, I give this site the 5 star treatment. For those who love the players as much as they love the game. Sometimes, football makes me feel like I'm turning into a guy (Ugh), I was even mistaken as one! This site cleanses (?!) me... Where I can release my football fantasies of my beloved Football hunks.
• A guilty pleasure. Kickette is like the entertainment TMZ of the Football world. The veritable number of Football players in all their naked glory (and gory--they feature some not-so-hot men ballers too) will leave you salivating for more. LOL. This is getting out of hand. Kickette has this much effect on me. They got WAG and Baby Ballers new too! and their community is just wonderful! Fan Photo Submissions are the best!
• For all the still-girly-girls like me who love football!

• I'm new at this site but when I google about football clubs, this always comes up. And judging by their cover stories of various football leagues, this site is worth seeing! I've been looking for a site that covers the football clubs in all the leagues and this site does it and more! der Mannschaft: Jögi stays!

Jögi Löw's contract may have expired just after the World Cup but after leading his young team into 3rd place at the tournament, there have been demands to extend his contract with the German NT.
And today, a press conference was held that announced the extension for his contract for 2 years!
That means he'll be coaching the German NT through Euro 2012!
I can't wait for them to get started! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this time, Germany will win the Cup (unless my other favorite team, France pulls though all the drama*wink*)

I keep telling myself to learn French but still I don't. But it changes now. (Or until i buy a French for Dummies book). I promise myself to learn the language, and work on my intonation. I promise. Now I'm planning to buy a book, an audio book, download eBooks and swear to any god that i'll learn it so I can go and live there one day. *sigh. France holds the key to my heart. *one day...

Sunny side up

On the brighter side of things, I do love my color, yellow. It's because of Spongebob, my favorite sponge under the sea. Yellow just looks pretty and catchy. It stimulates the eye, plus it keeps me happy seeing my yellow stuff all piled up. I finally have a favorite color, and it took only Spongebob Squarepants to inspire me to what it is.

Birthdays just stress me out

For the following reasons:

1. I am a very insecure person. On this day, my insecurities reach the level of their full potential. Go figure.
2. I'm so concerned about not wanting to be greeted with a "Happy Birthday". It's so cliche. Just because it's a birthday doesn't always mean it's happy. I'm not happy. I want the day to end. Fast.
3. This day I got a cold. On previous birthdays, i got some unfortunate mishaps which shall not be repeated. This getting-a-cold thing is mild compared to all the other stuff.
4. Money. I don't want to spend money. Every single minute of the day there are subtle signs that I should spend money. I say NO.
5. I cringe every time someone greets me a happy birthday and tells me I'm getting older. UGH.
6. I secretly take note of those who greet me, which is a bad habit, then I debate with myself if I should say thanks or have the right to ignore their greetings for reasons stated in number 2.
7. I just want to be left alone.
8. I hate going out to do meaningless stuff when I could just stay on my room and contemplate about myself, how I've changed, how I am as a person. I want evaluate who I've been, who I'm becoming and if I'm going for my dreams instead of sitting out a formal dinner with strangers.
9. I want to go shopping too, alone.
10. I want to try some new stuff by myself. it's my "me" time.

Hey, I only get this once a year, so hell yeah, I'd milk it for all it's worth!

Starting this blog with a note of regrets...

To that person who will always be my biggest What-If. What a typical little what-not when I only just found out that the time I was pining for you, unbeknown to me, you were pining for me too. We were both pining for each other yet we never knew. But now that we do, it's just to late to do something about it because the moment has gone by and passed away along with the passing of time. Time do heal all wounds but it covers up the memories too, and with it goes the feeling of what we've shared. *sigh. What if? But that question shall always remain unanswered. For now.

pre-season friendlies and transfer talks

transfers:
Thierry Henry to New York red bulls...say what?! Titi is unfortunately gone from Arsenal and is now in New York to "try to win another trophy". Tsk* I really have reservations about American football because I don't think they really could get the real potential of their football players.
While Titi is in the states, it's Bocanegra in France. He'll be playing for Saint Etienne.

Xabi Alonso transfers to Real Madrid!!!
On the other hand, NO arsenal for Gourcuff. Sad. Chamakh was really expecting him to be signed but apparently, he was too expensive for them. So I guess that discontinues the bromance between the two.
Neuer says No to possible transfer and remains LOYAL to Schalke 04.
And of course, the battle between barcelona and arsenal for Cesc Fabregas. Arsenal is not willing to let him go without a fight, i daresay it's high time for Cesc to decide what to do and not leave us hanging. Hopefully, he'll transfer...it'll be good to be in a new club for more exposure and a different experience. =)


Pre-season Friendlies
 It has started! Although the updates I received need to be translated...I'm presuming that my favorite Girondins de Bordeaux is going strong and it's international players are back in training though not yet playing.
Meanwhile, some clubs are keeping their international players, fresh from the world cup, away from the field. I suppose they'll let them play only when needed. They need all the rest they can get. The world cup was quite grueling both mentally and physically.
